On the 28 – 29 of April 2022, the FLAMINGo partner Österreichisches Gießerei-Institut (OGI) participated in the 64th Austrian Foundry conference at Leoben, Austria, and disseminated the FLAMINGo Project. The conference honored 25 years of cooperation between the Austrian Foundry Institute and the University of Leoben, Chair of Foundry Science. New research topics have been taken up, which deal with the topic of climate neutrality as well as energy and resource-saving in foundries and in the application of castings on different levels. FLAMINGo develops lightweight aluminum metal nanocomposites-based components for electric vehicles and OGI is responsible for the casting methods within the project.
