Training on Safety to Advanced (Nano)materials in the Workplace in the FLAMINGo M24 General meeting at the Austrian Casting Institute (8th-9th March 2023).
During 2023, ISQ assessed the risk of workers’ exposure to nanocomposites in the green sand casting line of the Austrian Casting Institute (OGI). During the March 8th – 9th FLAMINGo General meeting at the Austrian Casting Institute, ISQ delivered a training on Safety to Advanced (Nano)materials in the Workplace. This training session aimed to provide technical knowledge to Flamingo partners concerning the potential exposure risks associated with the use of nanomaterials in the workplace, and the procedures recommended by international bodies for their risk assessment and management (OECD, CEN, ECHA). The recent Safe- and Sustainable-by-Design strategy proposed by the European Commission was also addressed.
