The FLAMINGo Project, alongside Fatigue4Light and Flexcrash, recently took part in the ‘Circular Metal for Future Mobility’ webinar, hosted within the EU-funded SALEMA project on October 6, 2023. The webinar, focusing on innovative aluminum and advanced materials research, involved industry experts discussing a greener future for mobility.
Dr. Christian Leroy from European Aluminium emphasised collaboration for sustainability. Representatives shared FLAMINGo’s goal of offering sustainable materials to the automotive industry by enhancing alloy strength and reducing critical raw material use. Discussions highlighted the importance of collaborative projects in advancing greener mobility. Key speakers stressed the need for swift material evaluation and metallurgical advancements. The event aimed to promote a circular economy and advanced materials for a sustainable automotive future.
